In 2017, GFI Partners met with American Superconductor (AMSC) to discuss their current manufacturing and office requirements. AMSC was the property owner of 64 Jackson Road Devens, MA and was looking for a new efficient manufacturing headquarters and facility due to changes in their manufacturing process.
GFI Identified a former food manufacturing facility that was being vacated. Working with AMSC and the local government, GFI renovated and relocated AMSC to its new state-of-the-art home at 114 East Main Street Ayer, MA.
As part of the transaction, GFI purchased 64 Jackson Road. After the relocation of AMSC, GFI renovated 64 Jackson Road for an existing tenant of the GFI portfolio.
